Cooling unit with percussion effect; the air suctioned from the ambient is blown with opposite flows onto the fabric. This type of cooling unit is positioned at the exit of the drying machine with the fabric still on the chain. A double unit may be installed to increase the heat reduction of the fabric.
Unit with perforated drum and fabric return rollers. The cooling action is though air, which is suctioned along the entire surface of the drum and subsequently the fabric to then be expelled by the centrifugal ventilator. This type of cooling is normally positioned at the exit of the drying machine with the fabric outside the chain.
Unit with liquid cooled drum, which can be open circuit (disposable water) or closed circuit (with glycol and refrigerating machine). In the latter case, very low drum temperatures can be obtained up to 4 - 8 °C. Positioned at the exit of the drying machine, it is indicated for items that are covered on one side only. It can however be used on items that need a strong jump in temperature or are airtight.
Unit equipped with blowers with interposed nozzles between the layers. The cooling action takes place for lapping of the air suctioned from the ambient and blown with alternate flows over the fabric.
The return rollers can all be idle or controlled with a single one; for delicate items, it is possible using a single control with tension control. The machine can be positioned after a Hotflue dryer/polymeriser.
